Large mixed-use complex, Tashkent — exterior facade slabs
Project: 15-building mixed-use development, Yakkasaray District, Tashkent (≈6.8 hectares)
Scope: Ultra-thin porcelain slabs (3.5mm / 6mm thickness, 3000×1200mm) for exterior facade — dark grey concrete surface
Volume: 30 × 40ft containers · 30,000 m²
Year: 2025
Challenge: The client wanted an Italian-look dark grey concrete surface for a 6.8-hectare mixed-use facade — at roughly one-third of Italian import prices, on a tight construction schedule, with zero damage to the ultra-thin 6mm slabs during shipment to Tashkent.
Solution: Multiple rounds of sampling until the surface matched the Italian original in colour and texture; sourced a fast, safe and cost-effective shipping route to Central Asia; full wooden pallets and reinforced loading delivered the 6mm slabs to site with zero breakage; recommended a tile adhesive suitable for outdoor ultra-thin slab installation; production and dispatch ran at top speed to meet the construction deadline.
